SpyBubble Android Spyware Review – The Good, Bad, & Ugly

I get a lot of emails form readers who want to know what I think of SpyBubble. My short answer is always, “Don’t waste your money! There are much better Android spyware apps on the market.”

Although SpyBubble has it’s place in very specific situations, my overall view of SpyBubble is that it’s far from being the best Android spyware app on the market. It’s not even the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th best. Here is my review of SpyBubble covering the few good things, some bad things, and a lot of ugly things.

SPYBUBBLE ANDROID SPYWARE – OVERVIEW

SpyBubble’s Android spyware app enables anyone to monitor and track any Android phone that has SpyBubble installed. Once installed, SpyBubble will record various events, and then send them to your SpyBubble account — where you can view all the recorded logs. Items that are recorded include call logs, text messages, and location history. Although some other Android spyware sites wrongly state that,

“SpyBubble is the only cell spying software that can monitor any smart-phone, remotely read SMS/texts, check calls, and track GPS location.”

Unfortunately, this is FAR from the truth. There are many other options on the market that provide users with more features, with some coming in at a lower price point. There are some reasons why SpyBubble is an ideal choice as you will find out in this review, but in most cases, SpyBubble should be your last choice.

THE GOOD

There are two things I do like about SpyBubble, that do separate it from other Android spyware apps.

1) Return Policy - SpyBubble has an industry best 60 day return policy. This means you have  more than enough time to get your hands on the phone, install the Android spy software, and then test it out. Some other Android spyware apps only offer 7-10 days, which just isn’t enough for most people. I give SpyBubble a big  thumbs up on this one.

2) Unlimited Installations - The other good thing I like about SpyBubble is that they do offer unlimited installations. This means if you have several phones you want to monitor and track, you only have to buy a single license. No other Android spyware app that I’m aware of allows you to install their Android spy software on more than one phone at a time. This could be a huge cost savings for anyone who needs to monitor multiple phones.

THE BAD

Here are a few things I DO NOT like about SpyBubble.

1) Features? – SpyBubble is really short on features. You would expect that a new Android spyware vendor such as SpyBubble would hit the market with more features than what it offers. Similar priced Android spyware apps on the market from much more established vendors offer a lot more features. I want to see SpyBubble offer such things as tracking incoming and outgoing emails, browser history, bookmarks, videos taken on the phone, and perhaps remote monitoring. To say SpyBubble is the ’2011 Best Android Spy Software App’ as some websites are reporting is ludicrous.  Based on the features offered by SpyBubble, they have a long ways to go before they are crowed the Best.

2) Advertising / Promotion - Although this really isn’t SpyBubble’s fault, another thing that really upsets me about SpyBubble is several sites are falsely reporting that SpyBubble can be installed in a few minutes. I don’t care what you say, there is absolutely NO WAY you can install an Android spyware app in a few minutes. You will need at least 15 minutes set aside to get everything installed and working. Sites promising that you can install SpyBubble in a few minutes are completely lying, and SpyBubble needs to do a better job controlling these vendors/affiliates who are making false promises to readers, just to get a sale.

3) Battery Drain – This is one problem that I’m hearing over and over again. I get a lot of readers who report that SpyBubble is causing their target phone’s battery to lose power in a much quicker fashion than it did prior to installing SpyBubble. I don’t know about you, but if I notice all of the sudden that my phone can’t hold a charge longer than an hour, I’ll start to ask questions.

4) Support  – Other Android spyware vendors take customer support seriously.  They offer live support over the phone, or online support via their website where you can chat with staff online at certain times of the day.  All offer some type of email support. What does SpyBubble do? They try to CHARGE you an extra $9.95  for what they call ‘Priority Support’ where what they should be doing is trying to find a way to improve their support so they don’t have to charge customers extra to contact them.  This is one thing that really made me boil. The audacity to charge your customers extra for “special” support.

5) Reliability - Another complaint I hear over and over again is that SpyBubble just stops working. Not sure if this is because they’ve not had a chance to test out their app on various networks and phones, but this is becoming a very common theme. This is why SpyBubble is often referred to as a scam. It will work for a while, then just stop working.

THE UGLY

Here are two things that I just find real ugly.

1) IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) Requirement - It’s hard enough to try and get the target phone long enough to install an Android spyware app, but having to get it twice makes it even more tough. With SpyBubble, they require that you register the phone by using the phone’s IMEI number. They provide instructions how to get this, but you can’t install the software and get it working without it. This means you first have to get the target phone in your hands, register the IMEI number, and then go through all the installation items. Most users are finding out that they first have to get the phone, find out the IMEI number, and then register the product. Then they try to find time again where they can get the phone long enough to install the software. Not sure why SpyBubble decided to require the IMEI number, but other Android spy software apps on the market DO NOT require this.

2) Visible App – SpyBubble is advertised as an Android spy app that is hidden so the user never knows they are being monitored. The problem is that this is NOT true. SpyBubble is clearly seen in the applications menu. So much for being a “spy” app. Not sure whose idea it was to create a spy app that is clearly visible to the user. This is by far the #1 complaint I have against SpyBubble.

SUMMARY

Although SpyBubble is often advertised as the ‘Best Android spy app’ on the market, it’s clearly far from the best. It does have a few good features such as unlimited phone installation and a 60 day return policy, but there are also many negatives such as it’s lacking features, often advertised making false promises, often reported to cause the phones that have SpyBubble installed experience accelerated batter drain, charges for what they call priority support, and has reliability issues. However, to top it off, they require you get the target phone’s IMEI number which just adds another unnecessary step in the installation process, and most of all — SpyBubble is clearly visible to the user.

So is there a time when SpyBubble is a good buy? In my opinion, SpyBubble is an excellent choice for someone who needs to monitor multiple phones. Since you’re able to install SpyBubble on as many phones as you want, you can buy a single license and then install on all the phones you want to monitor. This is perfect for employees who want to monitor company issued cell phones or for parents who might want to monitor all the phones in the family. In both of these situations, the user will obviously know they are being monitored, so the fact that SpyBubble is not hidden plays not relevance here.

When you should NOT buy this Android spyware app? If you need to track an Android phone, then I would stay far away from SpyBubble. First of all, as you now know, it’s not hidden so that means if you try to use SpyBubble to keep a watchful eye on your kids, they can find out you’re tracking them.  Second, there are far better options out there that enable you to track and monitor a phone that don’t have all the issues SpyBubble does.

If after reading this review, you still think SpyBubble is right for you and your situation, then go to www.spy-bubble.com to purchase it. However, if your situation requires either an Android spyware app that has more features than SpyBubble, and/or an app that is not  clearly visible to the user, then check out these Android spyware vendors below:

MOBILE SPY (www.mobile-spy.net) – Mobile Spy was the first company to sell Android spy software online.  They are considered one of the leaders in the overall spy phone industry, and are one of the few companies that offer live customer support.. Prices start at a reasonable $49.97 and go up to $99.97. What I like about Mobile Spy is you get all the “must have” Android spyware features, but at a price most people can afford. If you’re looking for a solid Android spyware product, and an affordable price, then check out Mobile Spy.

Android Spyware Helps Employers Track Their Employees

Tracking all your employees can be a difficult task at the best of times, but when your workforce is mainly field based, monitoring their work and costs can be a nightmare. Android spyware may just be the tool you are looking for to help solve this nightmare.

A field based workforce, sales or service based, will, more than likely be provided with company cellphones. Many companies see the benefit of being able to call employees or patch client calls through to them when they are out of the office, but the company provided cellphone can also be a tracking tool helping you and your employees to monitor expenses and drive greater economies in your business.

Installing Android spyware on company issued Android based cellphones allows you, as employer, to view the location of the cellphones on a real-time basis. If the Android phone is in a certain location it is probably safe to assume the employee is with it, if not then your have much bigger problem than tracking software can help with.

Running in the background on the phone, Android spyware transmits real-time location, call log, sms log and even email and web views to a remote server. That server interprets the data received from the Android spyware, and sends it to a secure online site which you can access from anywhere in the world. Knowing where your workforce are at all times is vital in keeping an eye on appointments, sales leads and even down time. Knowing that your workforce aren’t running up huge call costs too can be of great benefit to any business.

Apart from the data provided, Android spyware make sense with a mobile workforce. By monitoring with your staff locations, you can advise on the best route to the next client or help staff to avoid traffic jams or accidents as they move around the field. This ability will increase efficiency and productivity from your workforce and ultimately benefit all of your staff. In a highly competitive business environment, the ability to make meetings on schedule using the best route and avoiding delays could give your business the edge over competitors.

Android spyware is relatively inexpensive and can be installed on any Android based handset in a matter of minutes, no user participation is required to run the application as it works away in hidden mode. Some Android spyware apps (such as the one sold by SpyBubble) even enable you to install their Android spy software on as many devices as you want — on a single license.

Whether you inform your staff the Android spyware app has been installed, is a business decision you have to make based upon your knowledge of your staff. However, it could be argued that a field based team that is aware you are monitoring them with Android spy software, tend to be more productive.

If you are investing in a cellphone for your staff members, then it makes business sense to look seriously at Android spyware apps. The cost of buying the Android spy software could be easily offset by the saving and efficiencies that can achieved.
